  • 2 pounds ground turkey

  • 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional

Method
 

Brown the Turkey
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Remove and set aside.

  1. In the same pot, add onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5–7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
